Architecture + Design Research Practice Based in South Africa

Welcome to Oplus Works – where architecture seeks to unite with the living being as a constant practice to transcend the physical boundaries that define the spaces we design in every project. 

 Our design process focuses on the deep study and understanding on what we call the 3 Universes: The Past universe, the Future universe and  where our work manifests, the Now Universe. 

This practice seeks to strip away the egocentric approach in architecture, as a way of fostering inner peace. This appraoch grounds our design decisions in an African Zulu Principle of Ubuntu - Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu (I am because you are) making our practice Oplus Works a tool for the greater community to use.

 What truly fuels our passion is our commitment to integrating indigenous knowledge into our projects. We believe in respecting the very earth our buildings sit on, incorporating traditional wisdom and sustainable innovative practices,  to create spaces that honor both past and future.
